C. Eugene Ledford, 54, of 243 S. Walnut St., Wilmington, died Sunday, October 30 at 7:29 p.m. in Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington.
Born Dec. 5, 1933 in Clinton County, he was a son of Chester G. “Chet” Ledford and Opal E. Yarger Ledford Hendee. His wife, the former Wanda Joyce Adams, to whom he was married June 30, 1961, survives.
He was a member of the Church of Christ (Christian) and a petroleum driver at Landmark. He graduated from New Vienna High School.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ledford is survived by a son, Kenneth E. Ledford , serving a tour of duty with the U.S. Army in Germany; a daughter, Pamela Sue Ledford, of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Larry W. Ledford, of New Vienna; and a sister, Mrs. Carolyn (Roger) McKay, of Beavercreek.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 3 in the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, Wilmington, with Arthur Merkle and Keith Dimbath officiating.
Burial was in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
