Mrs. Juanita Y. Wellman, 49, of 132 West Third Street, sister of Mrs. Herman McQueen, died Friday after a short illness. Services 2:30 p.m. Monday at Whitehall Funeral Chapel. Burial in Athens Cemetery. Visitation after 6 p.m. today at the chapel.

Mrs. Juanita Young Wellman, 49, of 132 West Third Street, died Friday. She was a daughter of the late Marion Wheeler and Alma Young. She is survived by two half-brothers, Marion Young and Arthur Young; one sister, Mrs. Herman McQueen; two half-sisters, Barbara Durrum and Marietta Shields; and her step-mother, Nora E. Young, all of Lexington. Services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Whitehall Funeral Chapel by Rev. Bob Barker. Burial in the Athens Cemetery. Friends may call af the funeral home.

- Couple’s Deaths Ruled As Natural
A Lexington man and his wife who were found dead Friday morning died of natural causes, Coroner Chester Hager said yesterday. He said they apparently did not die at the same time.
Joseph Wellman, about 60, and his wife, Juanita Wellman, 49, were found dead in the bedroom of a house at 132 West Third Street by police who had been called to the residence by Wellman’s daughter. According to police reports, Mrs. Joanne Lawrence called police after getting no response at the residence.
The two were found lying on each side of the bed in the one-room upstairs apartment and were pronounced deat at 11:17 a.m. by the coroner.
Services for Mr. Wellman will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home and burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
Services for Mrs. Wellman will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Whitehall Funeral Chapel with burial in Athens Cemetery.

Joseph Bailey Wellman, died Friday at his residence, 132 West Third Street. He was a native of Fayette County, a son of the late Harry and Katherine McCarthy Wellman. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and a welder. Survived by two sons, Joseph P. and William D. Wellman, both of Lexington; a daughter, Mrs. Jo Ann Lawrence, Lexington; six grandchildren; three brothers, Harry, William and Gene Wellman, all of Lexington. Services 10 a.m. Monday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Dr. H.B. Kuhnle officiating. Burial Lexington Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
