- James, Richard K., age 15 of 61 E. Parkwood Dr., passed away Saturday. Survived by his parents, Jesse and Roberta; a brother, David and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben James; Mrs. Ruby Brewer and Mrs. W.R. Lewis and several aunts and uncles. He was freshman at Colonel White High School and attended the Riverdale United Church of Christ. Services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Carrigan Funeral Home 2201 N. Main St. with the Reverend W. Douglas Snyder officiating. Burial Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Carrigan’s Monday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.

- Angler, 15, knifed, dies; probe slated
The death of a 15-year-old Dayton boy who was stabbed during an argument with companions at a fishing lake northwest of Fairborn Saturday is under investigation by the Green County Sheriff’s department.
Richard K. James, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse F. James of 61 E. Parkwood Drive, died at Grandview Hospital at 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
He was stabbed in the stomach with a fishing knife during an argument with a companion at the Rainbow Fishing Lake on Ohio 235 about 12:06 a.m. Saturday, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s office.
Three companions of the victim, including a 15-yaer-old boy suspected of wielding the knife, will be questioned, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies said the parents of one of the boys took them to the fishing lake about 7 p.m. Friday and were to return to pick them up between midnight and 1 a.m.
