      Samuel (16 Jan 1831-25 Apr 1911) and Elsie Hash Welsh (7 Jan 1834-13 Jun 1930, daughter of Billy Hash, were married 18 Dec 1856. Samuel was a Primitive Baptist preacher at Grant. Children: Creed; Philip, Sarah, and Clerisa Elvira (14 Jul 1872-14 Mar 1955). On 5 Aug 1888 Clerisa married Stephen W. James.
