---------------------------------------
"The Allen Hash Cemetery is above old mill on Fox Creek just north of Fox Creek Cemetery -- on the left. On October 4, 2003, [Larry Hash et al.] talked with Paul Trachy- the owner of the cemetery, and he showed us the cemetery which is on the very top of the hill above his old house. He told that some member of the Hash family moved all of the markers from the cemetery about 10 years ago [early 1990s]. He didn't know what happened to the markers. He told me that Charlie Hash owned the land prior to him. Charlie Hash had aquired the land from APCO after the dam project for the area was abandoned..
We then talked with Rex Hash [a grandson of Lewis B. Hash, b.1913]. He told that the old mill was owned by brothers, Tommy & Eck Hash. The mill was washed out by high waters. Rex said that Virginia Porter of Galax had the headstones moved to Fox Cemetery. The bodies were left undisturbed. The actual graves are marked only by Daffodils in the spring.".
