  • Notes
    • Note on Find a Grave:
S/o Nathan Ward & Sarah. Lewis "Tommy" Ward & his wife Mary Ann Hash are buried on a hill above their home place. There are gravestones, but they are either unmarked or the ravages of time have made them unreadable. Their son John H. Ward and his wives are buried here too. The birth and death dates comes from a family Bible that belonged to his granddaughter Mary Ann Ward Anderson 1860-1949. A great-granddaughter of Lewis Ward identified him as Tom Ward. In the old naming patterns, a lot of people only had a first name, so it is uncertain whether he was named Lewis Thomas Ward.
