- Elijah Crittenden Robinson
Richmond, Ky., May 28 - Elijah Crittenden Robinson, 63, carpenter, died suddenly at his home in Berea Friday afternoon. A native of Clay county, he had lived in Berea and was for 30 years a carpenter at Berea College.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Robinson, Berea; six daughters by a former marriage, Mrs. W. E. Van Winkle, Lancaster; Mrs. Al Peretti, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Curt Pearson, Mrs. Ray Welch, Mrs. Preston McDaniel and Miss Lois Robinson, all of Berea; one son by a former marriage, Fred Robinson, Chillicothe, Ill. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Dora Smith, Berea, and Mrs. Ulysses Moyers of Florida, and three brothers, Boss Robinson, Paint Lick, Herman Robinson, Berea, and Jack Robinson, Ohio.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Britton funeral home in Berea at 2;30 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. L.B. Scarborough. Burial will be in the Berea cemetery. Pallbearers will be San Robinson, A.P. Smith Jr., Dave Parsons, Charles Pennington, Chester Mauple and Harry Hazelwood.
The body is at the funeral home.
