      Francis Jr Sturgill and wife Phoebe Weaver took in Francis Jr's sister Ann Sturgill Perkins's orphan Lydia Perkins. Ann died ca 1813. Lydia is said to have married Mr Price. [1]

      3) Francis Sturgill Jr., Born 1762. Died August 1846, Helton, Ashe Co. N.C.
      Married Phoebe Weaver, Daughter of William Weaver Sr. about 1805. Born 10/15/83. Die 6/13/1855. Francis Jr. bought out all the other heirs to his fathers estate and lived on this farm until 1838 when he moved to Helton Creek in Ashe County. Sturgill Post Office was named for him. Both buried in Sturgill cemetery on Helton creek in Ashe Co.
