Grandma Bowman Dead.
Grandma Bowman, who for several years has resided with her son, Jerry Bowman, on a farm two miles west of Maple City, died last night at that place. Mrs. Bowman was 87 years of age and old age is given as the chief cause of her death. She is well known in her neighborhood and is an old resident of Cowley county. The arrangements for the funeral have not been learned here.

When Eliza Mariah Hunt was born on June 15, 1824, in Tennessee, her father, Levi, was 27, and her mother, Nancy, was 23. She married Absalom" BOWMAN on August 8, 1844, in Booneville, Kentucky. They had nine children in 18 years. She died on January 4, 1911, in Spring Creek, Kansas, having lived a long life of 86 years, and was buried there.
