Notes - Harry Ament Marsh Jr. of Lexington, Kentucky widower of the late Helen "Rita" Moore Marsh departed this life Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 17 days. He was a son of the late Harry Ament Marsh Sr. and Bessie Allison Marsh born in Paris, Kentucky on June 16, 1927. He was a United States Army Veteran, a civil engineer, and a former director of the Fayette County Health Department. He is survived by 4 sons, Phillip A. Marsh of Lexington, Kentucky, Harry Allen Marsh (Janette) of Atlanta, Georgia, Nicholas Ament Marsh (Loree) of Columbia, South Carolina and Richard Scott Marsh (Lissa) of Pembroke, Georgia and 6 grandchildren, Daniel Marsh, Anne Marsh, Nicholas (Cassie) Marsh, Sara Marsh, Kate Marsh and Will Marsh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen "Rita" Moore Marsh; his parents, Harry Ament Marsh Sr. and Bessie Allison Marsh; 2 brothers, Philip Marsh and Benedict Marsh and 3 sisters, Patty Biddle, Mary Prather and Elizabeth Marsh. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. No visitation or services will be held at this time. Burial will be in the Childers cemetery in Flat Mary, Kentucky.
