- Geneva J Moore, age 85, of Hamilton, died on Monday, July 2, 2012, at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Lee County, Kentucky, on May 10, 1927, the daughter of the late James and Rebecca (Profitt) Short. In St. Helens, Kentucky, on September 18, 1947, Geneva married her husband, Ralph Moore.
She enjoyed camping, traveling with family, playing bingo and slots. Geneva took her first airplane trip when she was 80 to Las Vegas. She will be truly missed by everyone.
Geneva is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Ralph Moore of Hamilton;
daughter, Linda (Joseph) Isaacs;
son, Steve (Jacqueline) Moore, DDS;
grandchildren, Kristy (Benjamin) Weaver, Steven (Desiree Moore, DMD) Moore, DMD and Megan Moore;
great-grandchildren, Maxwell Weaver and Steven Moore, III; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Moore, Lee (Kathleen) Moore and Doug (Judy) Moore;
numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Geneva was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Clarence Short, Harry Short, Gladys (Chester) Bush, Madge Hampton, Hazel (Jr) Brewer, Mildred (Red) Creech and Gertrude (Dave) Hampton;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lloyd Moore, Thomas (Hazel) Moore, Harold (Dorothy) Smith and Malta Fugate.
Funeral service at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton with Pastor Don Dewey of St. Clair Baptist Church officiating. Interment at Butler County Memorial Park.
