- WM MCDANIEL DIES AT AGE 57.
William McDaniel, 57, Hamilton, died Saturday at 11:30 pm in Mercy Hospital where he had been a patient one week. He was born in Rockcastle Co, Ky, Aug 31, 1912, a son of William & Frances Bullock McDaniel. He had been a resident of the Hamilton area since 1935 & had been employed as a master mechanic at the McGraw Construction Co, Middletown, 23 years. Mr McDaniel married Gathel Larison, April 12, 1935 in Liberty, Ind. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union, Local 18 & enjoyed hunting, fishing, & collecting antiques.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs James (Helen) Drew, Hamilton; three brothers, Earl & Vernon McDaniel, both of Hamilton, & Clarence McDaniel, Haines City, Fla; a sister, Mrs Gladys Mogle, Cincinnati; four grandchildren; other relatives & many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gathel, May 21, 1967; two brothers & a sister.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, Hamilton, with the Rev John Carter, pastor of the Pentecostal Highway of Holiness Church, officiating. Burial will be in Darrtown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 until 9 pm. Pallbearers for Mr McDaniel will be Earl, Donald, & Paul McDaniel, Ed Mogle, Gene Ballinger, & James Pharies.
