    • Mrs. Emma F. Phipps
      Galax, Feb. 17 (Special) – Mrs. Emma Fulton Phipps, about 80, widow of J. Worth Phipps, formerly of Roanoke, died Friday morning at the home of her niece, Mrs. Martin Bennett, at Mt. Airy, N.C. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Sallie Fulton, Mt. Airy, and a brother, William Fulton, Johnson City, Tenn. Funeral services were held at the Bennett home this morning. The body was taken to Roanoke and burial was in Evergreen cemetery this afternoon.
      The Roanoke Times, Roanoke, Virginia. Sunday, 18 February 1934.
