Notes - WHEATLEY, Faye I., 76, of Tampa, passed away October 9, 2010. Faye was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Troy Townsend Sr. and Katherine Kelly. She earned a Bachelor' s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tampa, where she was secretary in the Delta Zeta Sorority. Faye worked as a school teacher for 38 years, and during this time she was selected twice as Sanders Elementary Teacher of the Year. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ellis Wheatley; son, Craig Wheatley and his wife, Jessalyn; sister, Inez Dittman; brother, Troy Townsend Jr. and his wife, Shirley; and several nieces and nephews. A service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, at Sunset Memory Gardens 11005 N. US Highway 301 Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
