Notes - Luther Metcalf, 62, Died Friday, Rites on Monday: Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, at the Free Pentecostal Church, Miamisburg, for Luther C. {sic} Metcalf, 62 of 5770 Lewis street who passed away at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, last Friday. The Rev. Charles Pennington of the Dryden Road Free Pentecostal Church officiated. Burial was in Hill Grove cemetery. ~ Arrangements were by the Gebhart & Schmidt Funeral Home. A native of Kentucky, Mr. Metcalf had resided in this area many years. Surviving are his wife, Euphemia; two daughters, Mrs. Victor Treon of Miami Township and Mrs. William Peters of RFD 2, Waynesville; three sons, Clayton and Clenvel, both of Miamisburg, and Clyde of West Carrollton, three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Kelly, Miss Viola Metcalf both of Miamisburg and Mrs. Martha Mynhier, Farmersville; three brothers, Sam of Miamisburg, Garfield of Germantown and Huey of West Carrollton; and five grandchildren. ~ Miamisburg News
