    Services for Maurice W. Loper, 77, of 2114 E. Forty-first st., who died of a stroke and cancer Sunday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday ad Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in the cemetery at Lamoni.
    Mr. Loper, a retired farmer, was born in Iowa and lived in Des Moines 25 years. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Lamoni.
    Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Evans and Mrs. Alberta Forret of Des Moines, Mrs. Isabelle Denbar of Seattle, and Mrs. Lorene Wolf of Greenfield; two sons, Carroll of Des Moines and Willard of Newton; a brother, Will of Red Oak; a sister, Mrs. Nina Kelley of Los Angeles, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

    Hedrick, IA. - Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Faith Chapel Open Bible Church in Ottumwa for Carroll E. Loper, 82, of Hedrick, who died of cancer Monday at Veterans Medical Center in Des Moines. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Booneville Cemetery.

    Mr. Loper, who retired after 23 years as an inspector for International Harvester, was born in Eagleview, Mo. and lived in Des Moines, Mo., and lived in Des Moines for 58 years until moving here in 1978. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

    Survivors include his wife, Irene, a son, Bruce of Des Moines; a brother, Willard of Newton; three sisters, Myrtle Evans of Wakee, Isabell Dunbar of Des Moines and Alberta Forrett of Adel; a grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren.

    Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Fremont Funeral Chapel, Fremont.

    William H. Loper, 91, of Newton, died of a heart ailment Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Newton, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Mr. Loper was born in Lamoni and had lived in Newton most of his life. He was a retired mechanic with Maytag Corp. and a member of Archery Club.
    He is survived by his wife, Elsie; a son, Dwaine of Encinitas, Calif.; a daughter, Shirley Kelley of Altoona; a stepdaughter, Marilyn Lind of Colfax; a sister, Myrtie Evans of Waukee; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
    Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

    Myrtle Evans, 90, of Karen Acres Nursing Home, 3605 Elm Drive, Urbandale, died of a respiratory ailment there Monday. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Van meter Cemetery.
    Mrs. Evans was born in Lamoni and had lived in the Des Moines area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening.
    She is survived by a son, Carl of Clive; two daughters, Juanita Hansen of Urbandale and Beverly Bartels of Sugar Creek, Mo.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa. Brooks Funeral Car in Clive is handling arrangements.

    Surviving are four daughters, Cindy Walker of Bouton, Betty O’Leary of Johnston, Mary Forret of Perry and Barbara Moorehead of Aurora, Mo.; a sister, Myrtle Evans of Urbandale; a brother, Willard Loper of Pleasant Hill; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
    The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Merl Hay Funeral Home.

    Surviving are her husband, Tony; a son, Donald of Des Moines; a brother, Willard Loper of Newton; two sisters, Myrtle Evans of Waukee and Alberta Forret of Adel; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
