    Notes:

    Clara Marcum
Sunday, October 19th, 1930, Robert Reed and I talked at the grave of Clara Marcum, one of my pupils who attended my school in the years of 1910 and 1911. She was a good girl and a good scholar. I am sure she was a kind and affectionate wife, a tender mother and a devoted Christian.
Clara made friend with all who came in contact with her. We extend our sympathy to Mr. Marcum and the children who survive here.
Clare will be greatly missed in the home and in this neighborhood, but our loss is Heaven’s gain.
“A loved one from us is gone,
A voice we love is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home
    Which never can be filled.”
    - Chas. L. McElhaney.
