    McCollum – Mrs. Cordelia Murray McCollum, Blue Ridge, Ga., passed away Nov. 6, 1959, at 10:30 p.m., in a Macon hospital in her 90th year. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C.W. Kiker Sr., Blue Ridge, Ga., Mrs. W.R. Howard Sr., St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons, Mr. John A. McCollum, Berea, Ky.; Mr. J. Luther McCollum, Dalton, Ga.; 29 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Logan Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Patterson of Blairsville officiating. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Interment will be this (Monday) afternoon in Berea, Ky., Logan Funeral Home, Ellijay, Ga., in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Norma McCollum Robinson, 94, of Hiawassee, Ga., died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, following a period of declining health.
    She was born Feb. 27, 1912, the daughter of the late John Sr. and Rosie Bates McCollum in Murray County, Ga. She was a charter member of the Towns County AARP. She was the director of library services at St. Johns River Community College in Palatka, retiring in 1970.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert P. Robinson in 1989, as well as sisters, Dorothy Colwell, Elizabeth and Ruth McCollum and a brother, John McCollum Jr.
    She is survived by a daughter and son-n-law, Marilyn and Thomas Yorkovitch of Marble, N.C.; three grandsons; one brother, Lowell T. McCollum and a sister, Lois Haddix, both of Berea, Ky.; five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
    Memorial services will be Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at Berea Cemetery Mausoleum in Berea, Ky.

Caldwell of Richmond; two sisters Norma Robinson of Hiawassee, GA and Lois Ann Haddix of Berea and one brother Lowell McCollum of Berea; special friends Sonja Ross, Rosa Lee Lawson and Katie Rollins all of Paint Lick.

    She was preceded in death by her husband John Caldwell, parents John and Rossie McCollum; two sisters Ruth and Elizabeth McCollum and one nephew Rob Haddix.

    Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday November 30, 2005 at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. John Todd and Dick McCollum being joined by Linda Caldwell in conducting her service. Burial will follow in Manse Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.

    Nieces and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be neighbors Bill and Marjorie Hendren, Darrell and Brenda Rogers, Larry and Sonja Ross, Rosa Lee Lawson and Katie Rollins.

    The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care Plus or Madison County Humane Society.

    March 19, 1917 - July 28, 2003 Ruth Edna McCollum age 86 of Center Street in Berea, passed away Monday evening at the Berea Health Care Center.

    Ruth was born in Conasauga, TN to the late John A. and Rossie Bates McCollum. She worked at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base and also worked as a sales associate for several merchandising companies. Ruth was a member of the Berea Baptist Church.

    In addition to her parents Ruth was also preceded in death by one brother John A. McCollum Jr. and one nephew Rob Haddix.

    She is survived by four sisters Norma and the late Hubert Robinson of Hiawassee, GA, Dorothy and the late John Caldwell of Paint Lick, Mary Elizabeth McCollum of Berea and Lois Ann Haddix of Berea; one brother Lowell T. and his wife Mary Ann McCollum of Berea; three nephews Dick McCollum and his wife Lynn, John K. Caldwell and Steve McCollum; five nieces Marilyn Jean Yorkovitch and her husband Tom, Carol Roberts, Barbara Caldwell, Susan McCollum Kaucic and her husband Bob and Lora Haddix; 6 great nephews Ron Ware, Rick Ware, Aaron McCollum, Ethan McCollum, Robert Kaucic III and John Beidenkamp; and two great nieces Kimberly Kaucic and Katherine Kaucic.

    Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday July 31, 2003 at the Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with Dick McCollum and Hospice Chaplain Peggy Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Returning to St. Petersburg, she worked for the Pinellas County Public School system in the guidance department of various schools throughout the county. Following her retirement, she became a realtor with Selby Real Estate. She was active in the St. Petersburg Pioneers, St. Petersburg Historical Society and Seminole UMC. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Elston; and daughter, Judy Houlihan. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rena & Gordon Beckwith, son-in-law, Brian Houlihan; her grandchildren, Tara, Kate, Jan, Robert and Paige; and four great-grandchildren. The funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 17th, 11 am with friends being received one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
