Age 81, of Miamisburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2001, at Christel Manor of Miamisburg. Preceded in death by a son, Leroy Bowles, 3 brothers, Emery, Charles & David Davis, 3 sisters, Marie Truett, Alma Mathis, Ethel Napier, a granddaughter, Christy Lee Miller and a grandson, John Chafin. Survivors include a son, Fred (Inez) Bowles of Fairfield, OH., 3 daughters, Ruth (Ray) Jefferson, Connie (Curtis) Miller bother of Miamisburg, Irene (Dan) Eddinger of Florida, 2 brothers, Jim Davis of Miamisburg, Bill Davis of Ohio, 2 sisters, Della west of Centerville, Wilma Medlock of KY., 9 grandchildren, Steve Jefferson, Tammy Manor, Dewayne, Donald, Dean & Brian Bowles, Kimberly & Shane Chafin and Jimmy C. Miller and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM from the Gebhart-Schmidt-Parrmore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Pastor John Swint officiating. Burial Highland Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to service.

Ruth M. Jefferson, 79, of Miamisburg, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Sycamore Glen Nursing Home. She was born April 5, 1938 in Bond, KY the daughter of Herman and Lorene (Davis) Bowles. Ruth enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Steve Jefferson of Germantown and Tammy (Bob) Manor of Wilmington; granddaughter, Amanda (Josh) Allen of Germantown; great grandchildren, Jeremy, Jordan, and Ashlyn; sisters, Connie Miller, Irene Eddinger, and Dena Bowles Barrett; several nieces and nephews including, Dwayne and Don Bowles, Jimmy Miller, and Richard Barrett, Jr.; numerous cousins; special family friend, Harry Wells, Jr.; as well as Pookie the cat, the baby of the family. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, James "Ray" Jefferson; brothers, Fred and Lee Roy Bowles.
A funeral service at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg officiated by Dignity Celebrant Deb Holder.
