Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Armilda Phillips, former local resident, at Mt.
Pleasant Iowa, Tuesday morning.
Mrs. Phillips was born 7 May 1840, in Virginia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Brewer. She was married to William Royer in 1864 and 23 years ago married to Samuel Phillips. He died a number of
years ago.
Surviving are one sister and 4 step-children.
Funeral services and burial will be at Mt. Pleasant. While in Muscatine Mrs. Phillips resided at 607 Evans street.
