- After Mattie's death in 1930, Mack married a second time to Mahala Elizabeth Miller.
Mattie and Mack had three children. In the 1930 census they were ages 3, 2, and 0. It appears from records that the oldest daughter was taken in by her maternal grandparents, William and Frances McDaniel. The young son and youngest daughter were adopted into other families. All three are listed among Mack Brock's ten children in his obituary.

Crab Orchard – Mack Brock, 88, of Stanford House Nursing Home, Stanford, formerly of Crab Orchard Route 3, died Thursday at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford.
Born Feb. 20, 1899, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Monroe and Nellie Byrd Brock. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include four sons, Donald Brock Sponsel of Dayton, Ohio, Milton Brock of Crab Orchard Route 1, Golden Brock of Hamilton, Ohio, and Edward Brock of Oxford, Ohio, eight daughters, Frances McGrath of Fairfield, Ohio, Alice Mae Miller of Oxford, Ohio, Virginia, Shoemaker of Chillicothe, Ohio, Myrtle Hayes of Hamilton, Ohio, Alberta Alcorn of Stanford, Darlene Brock of Berea and Bernice Hart and Louise Harris, both of Danville, 45 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pentecostal Holiness Church, U.S.150, between Crab Orchard and Brodhead. Burial will be in Ephesus Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Saturday at Martin Funeral Home, Crab Orchard.
