Notes - Mrs. Nettie Hawkins
Porter (Special) - Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Hawkins, 80, Las Animas, Colorado, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Methodist Church here with Reverend C. M. Moser, Officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under direction of Green Funeral Home of Wagoner. Pallbearers will include Alva Boyd, Earl Boyd, Jack Cole, Walter Eubanks, Bland Madden and Albert Yochum.
Mrs. Hawkins, a long-time Porter resident died Sunday. Her husband, Charles Hawkins, died in 1947. A Gold Star Mother, Mrs. Hawkins moved to Colorado in 1954.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Myers, Las Animas; two sons, George McElroy, Reseda, California, and Carter McElroy, Fairfield, California; three step-sons; five step-daughters; two sisters, four brothers, including Meal Marcum of Westville, and eight grandchildren.
