Mr. Short was a retired farmer.
Born March 17, 1929, in Lucas, Ky., he attended Willard School in Hartsville, Tenn. He had been a resident of Forest for 27 years. He married Willadene Greer on Aug. 5, 1949, in Williamsport. She survives.
Mr. Short attended New Life Assembly of God Church in Frankfort.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Gary Short of Flora; five daughters, Edna Halsema of Lafayette, Sharon Short of West Lafayette, Janie Rieken of Bringhurst, Janet Schimmel of Frankfort and Judy Short of Forest; a brother, Gene Short of Idaho; and a sister, Agnes Smith of Tallahassee, Fla.
