      Indepedence, July 23 (Special). - Mrs. Creed Phipps, 93, widow of Creed Phipps, died today at her home at Bridle Creek.
      The funeral will be held at the home at 11 a.m. Sunday.
      Surviving are five children, 13 grand children, and 21 great grandchildren.
      The Roanoke Times, Roanoke, Virginia. Saturday, 24 July 1943.
