- Grover Sturgeon
Connersville – Grover “Cleve” Sturgeon, 96, of McKee, Ky., died Wednesday morning at Berea Hospital in Berea, Ky. He was a native of Connersville from 1916 to 1957 and a retired employee of the former Philco Ford.
He was born in Perry county and lived in McKee, Ky, for the past 21 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mertie; one son, Harold C. of Glenwood; two daughters, Leona Haselwander of Connersville and Gladys Poe of Richmond; two step-sons, William and Joe Callahan of Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Delores Edwards of Berea, Ky. and Loretta Witt of McKee, Ky; two brother, Murl of Connersville and Paul of Princeton; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Rosa, died in 1953.
Funeral service for Grover “Cleve’ Sturgeon will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee, Ky. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery, Connersville,
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Showalter-Blackwell, Myers Chapel, Connersville. In Kentucky, calling will be after 3 p.m. today at the Lakes Funeral Home.
