Funeral for Wesley E. “Tuffy” Wilber, 64, of North Vernon was conducted Tuesday by the Rev. Joe Wilson at Dove and Sharp Funeral Home. Organist was Bonita Welch.
Burial was at Vernon Cemetery, with military graveside rites by members of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Matt Hester Post 2021. Pallbearers were Dale and Rick Burton, Sam Harpring, Lawrence Lovelace, Harvey Sayers and Wesley P. Wilber.
Mr. Wilber died Saturday, May 1, 1993, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

- Mr. Wilber died at 3 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 1993, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
He retired from DuPont Chemical in New Jersey, was a member of the Nazerene Church in Pennsville in New Jersey and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Born Nov. 10, 1928, in Columbus, he was the son of Norval and Nella Mae Hulsey Wilber. Elizabeth Ann Morris, his first wife, preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 1973. He married Shirley Jean Wilber on Jan 11, 1975. She died Oct. 22, 1991.
Survivors include a son, Wesley P. Wilber of New Jersey; a daughter; Edna Sayers of North Vernon; a stepson, Gary Manning of Virginia; a stepdaughter, Debbie Harris of Colorado; sisters, Mary Everroad and Maxine Wilber of North Vernon; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
