- Mrs. Janice R. Spivey, 41, 153 Fiord Drive, Eaton, died Friday evening at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati after an extended illness.
She was formerly employed for five years as a housemother at Wernle Children's Home in Richmond, Ind. She was a member of Full Gospel Temple, Eaton, and had performed as a gospel singer at several area churches.
Survivors include her husband, John; three sons, Warren Douglas Spivey, at home, Brian Curtis Spivey of Eaton and Victor Duane Spivey of Dayton; one daughter, Katrina Spivey, at home; four grandchildren; her mother, Bessie Abrams of Richmond, Ind.; five sisters, Ethel Price, Drucilla Maples and Sophia VanWinkle, all of Richmond, Ind., Christine Abrams of Georgetown, KY., four brothers, Virgil, Herbert and Wade Abrams, all of Richmond, Ind., and Robert Abrams of Greens Fork, Ind.
Funeral services were Monday at Full Gospel Temple, Eaton, with the Rev. Raymond Rothwell officiating. Burial was in Zion Cemetery, Eaton. Barnes Funeral Home – Eaton Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Full Gospel Temple.
