    Private services will be held 3p.m. Friday at Spring Mill Mausoleum Chapel for Mrs. Ruth A. Current, 88, of 403 Dennis Drive. She died at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 14,1983) at Lakeview Medical Center, where she had been a patient four weeks following lengthy illness. The Rev. I. David Thompson wilt officiate with the assistance of the Rev. David Boyle. Entombment will be in Spring Hill Mausoleum. The family has requested memorials, be in the form of contributions
    to any charity or to the United Church of Christ: Pape Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Current attended Danville schools and Brown's Business College after which she worked in the office of Barger Furniture Co. and helped her husband in the operation of several grain elevators in this area. She was a member of United Church of Christ.
    Born Aug. 13, 1895 in Danville, she was a daughter of Ewald and Caroline Wamp Arf. She married Victor V. Current on May 11,1916. He died on Sept. 8, 1978.
    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jack W. (Barbara) Shotts of Danville; several nieces and nephews and three grandchildren, Mrs. Paul D. (Sue) Ashby of Beaverton, Ore., Mrs. Ronald R. (Carolle) Girouard of Danville and Mrs. Bert (Barbara) Leach of Champaign. She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
