4613 Lawyer Follows Father to the Grave After an Illness of Several Weeks.
Elmer Marshall, an attorney, died at 1:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon, at his home, 1013 English avenue. His father, Firman Marshall, for thirty years a travelling salesman for a Richmond firm, died Jan. 19, and it is thought that worry over his father's death, and the nervous strain Mr. Marshall underwent during his parent's illness, hastened his own death.
Since he was 16 years old, Mr. Marshall had been a student of law. He entered the law office of D.M. Bradbury in this city soon after he had completed his studies in the Indiana Business College, and afterward became partner.
He formed a partnership with James Cropsey, who was at that time regarded as one of the best criminal lawyers in the state. Later Mr. Marshall entered the office of Henry Seyfried as his partner. About three years ago Mr. Marshall formed a new partnership with Gay R. Estabrook, which was broken by the death yesterday.
Mr. Marshall was born in Lawrenceburg, Ind., and came to Indianapolis with his father's family when he was 8 years old. This city had been his home since then.
One month ago he became so ill that he was compelled to give up work and remain at home. His condition became steadily worse until his death yesterday. He was 40 years old. He leaves a widow and one daughter, Dorothy. He is survived also by one sister, Miss Ruth Marshall. A private funeral service will be held tomorrow afternoon at the home on English avenue, and the burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Illinois deaths and stillbirths index lists her parents, Frank Demoss and Rosiebell Blankinship, and her husband Hardy Norris.
I have not yet found documentation for her marriage or any further information about Hardy Norrris.
Her death certificate only lists Danville, Illinois as place of burial but does not specify which cemetery. I have not yet found any record of her burial on Find a Grave either under any combination of the the names of Hallie, Alberta, Demoss, or Norris.
Demoss, Hallie Alberta (I866)

4632 LKH Note:
In the 1850 US census the household of Charles and Sarah Hall appear to include children that Charles had with a previous wife, plus two children: Lucretia Connor, age 7, and Nancy J. Connor, age 5, that appear to be children that Sarah had with a previous husband. That would make Sarah's surname of Conner is from her previous husband. I have not yet found documentation of her maiden name.

About Rice Milner and Sarah Oder.

Rice Milner is named as Eliza Ann Milner's father on her marriage record.

I have not documentation for their birth dates, but several family trees on Ancestry agree on those dates.

The same group of family trees agree that Eliza's mother was Sarah Oder. The same trees list three children for Rice and Sarah, but do not include Eliza.

I have found documentation to confirm Rice and Sarah are the parents of Lucinda, but have not found any documentation to link James or William to them.

The three children listed on many Ancestry family trees.

Although she is not named in this news article, the date, location and description as a little child point to this article being about Jennie.

Last Friday morning, a little child of M.L. Yeazel, of Homer, while playing with fire at the store, set fire to its clothes, and was so badly burned that it died Saturday evening, in great agony. The little one was not quite a year old.
