Word has been received that Brown County native Ford E. Clark died Monday, October 24, 1994 at St. Joseph Riverside Hospital in Cortland, Ohio.
A resident of that city, he was 92.
Mr. Clark was born March 24, 1902, in Houston to Elmer and Bertha Tipton Clark.
He and Isabelle Mae Reibel Clark were married September 28, 1929. She survives.
Mr. Clark taught four years in a one-room schoolhouse in Indiana before moving to Ohio in 1927.
Mr. Clark earned a bachelor's degree from Central Normal College in Danville and a master's degree from Pittsburgh University.
He was a member of Fowler United Methodist Church and Western Reserve Lodge 507 F&AM of West Farmington. He was a life member of Trumbull County and Ohio Retired Teachers associations.
He enjoyed antiques and caning antique furniture.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fawn R. Clark and Ferry R. Clark; and a granddaughter.
Other survivors include a son, Richard E. Clark of Harvey, Louisiana; a daughter, Gwendolyn Leathley of Savannah, Georgia; a half-sister, Leta Brennan of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the school scholarship fund of the donor's choice or the Alzheimer's Association.
