Notes - Mrs. Clem, a widow since November 22, 1904, living near Danville, made a lucky find Sunday afternoon. While looking through some old clothes in the attic she came across an old satchel and opening it discovered that it contained $2,3400 in gold and paper money, $2,00 in United States Bonds and a certificate on a building and loan association, near $7.000 in all. Clem had hidden the money about twelve years ago when so many banks were failing. On his death bed he called his wife to him and talked a number of things but said nothing about the money.
