    • Mary Ellen Edwards, 89, of Danville passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Hawthorne Inn.
      She was born the daughter of Raymond Turner and Wilma Thompson Turner on June 22, 1929. They preceded her in death.
      Mary was married to Robert Edwards for 68 years until his passing in 2015.
      Surviving Mary are one son, Thomas (Vickie) Edwards of Danville; two grandchildren, Craig (Shelly) Edwards of Oakwood and Kim (Vince) Savage of Danville; five great grandchildren, Sadie Edwards, Tyler Knight, Abbie Knight, Andy Savage, and Thomas Savage and one brother, Jim (Muriel) Turner of Logansport, Indiana.
      Mary worked for most of her life. She was a member in the Christian Women’s Association as well as in the Vermilion County Society of Churches of Christ. She was also a member of Old Union Church of Christ and Crossroads Christian Church. Mary was co-owner of Myles Young Food Brokers. After retirement she was church secretary for 19 years. During her free time, she loved reading, watching the Hallmark channel, and spending time with family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed dearly by her family and the people that loved her.
