Notes - Elmer Gritton
Aledo - Elmer "Jack" Gritton, 90, of 106 NW 5th Ave., Aledo, died yesterday at the Hershey Nursing Home, Muscatine, Iowa.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Reiser-Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. The Rev. Claude Moreland, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Aledo, will officiate. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
Mr. Gritton was born Jan. 5, 1891, in Eliza Township, a son of Edward and Sarah Minteer Gritton.
He worked on the assembly line at International Harvester East Moline Works for many years until his retirement in 1955. Prior to that he was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal and engaged in farming.
He was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
