Leslie (Les) Nuss, 82, of Champaign, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Carriage Crossing, Savoy.
Les was born February 26, 1936 in Paxton, the son of Ralph G. and Lottie Patton Nuss. He married the love of his life Janice (Jan) Anderson on August 17, 1958 in Paxton. She survives.
Also surviving are his loving daughter; Amy (Brian) Owens of Hinsdale and their three children, Brian, Carly and Claire who were the absolute joys of his life; one sister, Vicki (Chuck) Harris of Paxton; one brother, Jerry Nuss of Rossville and one sister-in-law, Sharon (Rod) Parks of Fort Collins, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Les graduated from Paxton High School, attended Eastern Illinois University and retired from the Champaign Post Office after 34 years of service.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army Illinois National Guard from 1958
