Vaughn A. White. Covington, Ind. - Vaughn A. White, 83, of Covington, passed away at 6>10 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 1, 1994) at USMC, Logan Campus, Danville.
He was born May 23, 1010, in Vermilion Cuonty, Ill., the son of Harvey E. and Iva Nora Simpson White.
He was currently a self-employed mechanic in the Covington community since 1957. He married Martha E. Thompson Joiner on Nov. 15, 1940, in Morganfield, Ky. She died May 26, 1964. Surviving: two stepsons, Robert Joiner of Catlin, Ill., and Jack Joiner of Tempe, Ariz.; four stepgrandchildren and seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and a brother, Harlan White of rural Covington.
Services: 2 p.m. EST Friday at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga; Officiating: Rev. Grover Williams; Burial: Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington; Visitation: 4-8 p.m. EST Thursday at the funeral home.
