Notes - Lena M. Cox, 84, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, January 8, 2015, at her home.
She was born April 16, 1930, in Danville, the daughter of Ernest Vernon and Etta Eunice (Ralls) Hancock. She married Louis Wendell Cox Sr. on August 11, 1949 in Covington, IN, and he preceded her in death on October 9. 2003.
Mrs. Cox was a longtime member of Pioneer Point Campers Club. She enjoyed puzzles and embroidering, and she loved her St. Louis Cardinals and her cat, Smokey. Lena was a mother to many.
Lena was survived by one son; three daughters; seven grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Wayne Cox; a brother, John Hancock; and a sister, Wilma Shelato.
