Notes - Mildred Myrtle Fox, 71, of Jacksonville, died Saturday morning, November 30, 2002, at Jacksonville Convalescent Center in Jacksonville. She was born on April 19, 1931 in Hoopeston, the daughter of Marion and Cecile Dengler. She married Thomas F. Fox in June of 1957 in Lincoln and he preceded her in death in May of 1984.
She is survived by two sons, Terry (wife, Dianna) Fox and Tom (wife, Gretchen) Fox, both of Jacksonville; three grandsons, one brother, Marion (wife, Shirley) Dengler of Lincoln; one sister, Doris (husband, Jack) Foster of Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Nancy Ann; two infant grandchildren, and one brother, Robert Dengler.
She had been a switchboard operator for General Telephone in Lincoln before moving to Jacksonville in 1962. She worked at Hertzberg-New Method Book Bindery from 1975 until her retirement.
Services were entrusted to Williamson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
