    • Edward passed from this life on Friday, June 4, 2010 at his home in Murphy with his family around him. He was 80 years of age. Ed was born to Clarence and Minnie Fox in Petty, Texas on February 5, 1930.
      Ed served in the U. S Army during the Korean War and received the Silver Star, Bronze Star and the Distinguished Medal of Valor. He was a member of North Place Church in Sachse.
      Ed is survived by his wife Georgann, his daughter Kathy Brandon, his sons Gary and Kenneth, his granddaughter Nina Burk and his grandson Charles Fox.
      There will be a visitation on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 2925 Fifth Street in Sachse. The Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at North Place Church, 2709 Third Street in Sachse. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
