Notes - Hiram Fred Umbanhowar, 89, of Brownsburg, Ind., passed away July 9, 2009, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born in Homer, Il. to Fred and Amanda Richards Umbanhowar. He married Amy Fischel. She died in 2001 after 61 years of marriage. He married Helen Tibbetts Krukewitt in 2008. She survives.
He is also survived by one son, Tom (Annette); three grandchildren, Rick and family, Terri Leach and family, Crystal Myers and family; seven great-grandchildren; three stepsons, Chuck and Carol Krukewitt and family in Roseau, Minnesota; Ron and Sharon Krukewitt and family of Charleston; Dave and Molly Krukewitt and family of Houston, Texas and one stepdaughter, Kathy Brown and family of Champaign.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
