Notes - Donna, 83, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 18, 2019. She was born February 11, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Harmon and Velma Pearl (Nave) Tennery. Donna graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1954 and during those years she was a drummer for the Redskins Marching Band and was very proud of that. Later in life she enjoyed traveling to many places, including Las Vegas, Nashville, Washington D.C, California and the Redwoods. She also loved all kinds of music. Donna was a fun, caring and faithful person and there was nothing she loved more than spending time with her family. She will be forever missed.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Harmon and Velma; brother, Ronnie Tennery; sister, Barbara Nance; niece, Pamela Nance; and nephew, Greg Nance.
She leaves behind her loving family sister, Mary Ann Hightower; niece, Lori Hightower; and nephew, Gerald Hightower.
Viewing will be held Monday, May 20th from 4-8pm and Tuesday, May 21st from 4-8pm at Vondel Smith Mortuary - South Western.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22nd at 10:00am at the South Colonial Chapel (6934 S Western Ave)
