Lange, a retired farmer, died this morning in the Fremont hospital after a long illness.
He was born May 15, 1892, in Danville, Ill., and farmed at Dodge most of his life. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner.
Lange married the former Nellie Queen Feb. 9, 1917. She died April 9, 1972.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. John V. (Marguerite) Pruitt of Fremont, Mrs. Evelyn Reimer of Omaha, Mrs. Thelma McCoy of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Louis F. (Della) Rebbe of Fremont, Mrs. Herman (Kathryn) Maas of Scribner, Mrs. Edith Knoell of Elbow Lake, Minn., and Mrs. John (Loretta) Callaway of Omaha; sons, Charles M. of Scribner; and Lewis F. of Schuyler; 42 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Shoals of Cayuga, Ind., Mrs. Bernice McCleanen and Louise Harris, both of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Seth (Margaret) Harmon of Covington, Ind.
