Center Point Church

Notes:
Head South out of Fairmount on N600 East Road

Turn Right (west) at first gravel road (E 1100 North Road)

[note: if we had turned to the left (east) we would be going toward George & Cora’s house]

Pass the limestone quarry (on the right). Drive up the hill: the big quarry is visible in the distance on the right.

This road ends in a T intersection at 400E.

Turn Left (south).

[note: Grace and Willis and kids lived in a house that sat just West of this T intersection in 1934. Marion was in first grade when they moved. When Marjorie started school she walked a mile straight south to the school house.]

Continue straight on 400 East Road

[note: Henry and Bessie Lewis lived where trees were by that house. Marjorie went to the school for 8 years. The school was just to the north of the little hill with trees. Marjorie lived on the east side of the road.]

Continue south past intersection with 900N road. Trisler farms on east side of the road.

Center Point School was near the intersection of 800N and 400E. The school faced south.

Turn west onto 800N.

At the intersection of 800N and 300E turn south. There is a house on the east side of the road where Sophia and Rollie lived. The Moreman family lived to the north.

Center Point Church was one mile from Center Point School.

400E and 800N the church sat on the west side of the road facing east.
