    She was a former Hoopeston, Ill., resident. She was a member of the Old Union Church of Christ.
    Born Sept. 18, 1909, in Blount Township, daughter of William Ross and Mabel Swisher Johnson. She was married on Nov. 26, 1927, to Lawrence R. Reese in Covington, Ind. He preceded her May 28, 1986.
    Survivors: two sons, Robert of Danville and James of Rock Falls, Ill., six daughters, Evelyn White and Helen Warner, both of Alvin, Ill., Lois Resse of Berwyn, Ill., Irene Maul of Hoopeston, Ill., Donna Heideman of Crete, Ill., and Bonnie Allen of Chicago; two brothers, Harlan W. Johnson of Montezuma, Ind., and Herman D. Johnson of Crystal River, Fla., tow sisters, Lois Massey and Louise Potter, both of Danville; 26 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
    Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel; Officiating: Roger James and D. Eugene Houpt; Burial: Johnson Cemetery. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home; Memorials: Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman, Ill.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Dave Clendenen and all of her brothers and sisters.
    She is survived by her two daughters, Gretta Clendenen and Ann (Steve) Young; six grandchildren, Dave, Bruce, Louise Clendenen, Daniel Young, Stephanie (Chad) Green and Cheryl (Tom) Wright; three great-grandchildren, Karen, Michelle (Steven) and Nathan and three great-great-grandchildren, Brogan, Ali and Marissa.
