    Well known farmer and resident of Blount Township all his life passed away last night.
    Louis Cline, a prominent farmer residing about eight miles north of Danville, and near the old Blount post office, died last evening, Jan. 30, 1917, at his home. His death occurring at 7 o'clock following an illness of several months duration from complication of diseases.

    Mr. Cline was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Cline, pioneer residents of this county and was born in Blount township 62 years ago. All of his life was spent in the neighborhood in which he was born, and his death occurred within a few rods of the old homestead where he first saw the light of day. The decedent was one of the most widely known and respected residents of the community in which he lived so long. He is survived by the widow and seven children, five sons and two daughters. One child preceded him in death. He is also survived by one brother and a sister.

    Funeral services for Mr. Cline will be conducted from the Cedar Grove church Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. Clay F. Gaumer of Alvin will officiate and the burial will be in the Cline cemetery, which was dedicated by the township by the decedent's father, and named for him.

    He was born Oct. 11, 1921, in Danville, the son of Martin Luther and Mattie Mae Watson Cline.
    Survivors include two sons, David (Cheryl) Cline of Danville and Charles "Chuck" (Becci) Cline of Danville; a daughter, Beth (Michael) Offutt of Bismarck; two sisters, Charity Reeves of Danville and Helen (Charlie) Taylor of Danville; five grandchildren; Nate (Sarah) Cline, Janelle (Lee) Quick, and Chad, Parker, and Matthew Cline; a great-grandson Aiden Thomas Cline, and two sisters-in-law, Margaret Cline of Danville and Daisy Cline of Danville.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, George, Harold, Wilbur, and Keith; a sister, Mildred Griffith; and two brothers-in-law, Fay C. Reeves and S.G. "Fuzzy" Griffith.
    Joe served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war, he returned to Danville and worked a short time for District 118 and Amax Coal. After retirement, he owned and operated Cline Services. Joe was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed driving his model A.
    Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Officiating: Chaplain Garth Lehman. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Joe's name to the Vermilion County War Museum, 307 N. Vermilion St., Danville or to the V.A. Medical Center, General Post Funds, Volunteer Services (11k), 1900 E. Main St., Danville.
    The family of Joe Cline would like to send a big thank you to all of the staff at the V.A. for all the care that they provided to dad, especially the staff on 101-8.

    Mrs. Taylor was born May 29, 1932, in Danville, a daughter of Martin Luther and Mattie May Watson Cline. She married Charles Taylor on Dec. 4, 1965 in Danville. He survives.

    Survivors also include a son, Steve Talbert of Danville; a daughter, Cheryl Buck of Danville; a stepson, Jed Taylor of Danville; two stepdaughters, LuAnn Kinney of Fairmount and Kathy Stitt of Danville; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a sister, Charity Reeves of Danville.

    She was preceded in death by a son, two grandchildren, five brothers and a sister.

    Mrs. Taylor was a longtime florist in Danville, first working at Danville Floral and later at Wright Floral, which she purchased, renaming it Taylor Floral. She owned and operated the business until her retirement in 2001.

    She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and taught Sunday school at Western Baptist Church.

    She enjoyed cooking and working in her yard, Christmas, the Chicago Cubs and the Illini.

    Hufford R. "Red" Cline, Sarasota, formerly of Danville, Ill., died Oct. 7, 2008.
    Arrangements are being handled by the National Cremation Society.
    Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; daughter, Sandra (Hank) Foster: and granddaughter, Katherine.
    Red was inducted into the U.S. Army and sent to Camp Carson, Colo., in Oct. 1942 for basic training. Marge and Red were married at Camp Carson on Dec. 30, 1942. He was then sent to France, where he proudly served our country during World War II, receiving several medals.
    In 1968, Red built Mr. Tire Auto Parts Store, and operated it until his retirement in 1983.
    Red was a past exalted ruler of Danville Elks Lodge 332, and a Mason 33rd Degree. He was also a Shriner and a Jester. Red was a good friend to all.

    Hufford "Red" Cline, 86, a resident of Sarasota, Florida since 1989 and formerly of Danville, Illinois, died Oct. 7, 2008.

    He was the son of Russell Cline and Tacie Atwood Cline. During the Depression, Red and his father operated a strip coal mine behind the Western Brick Company while Red attended high school. After high school, Red was territory salesman for Grapette Bottling Company.

    In 1940, Red met his beloved wife, Margie Freese, at a free movie at Lincoln Park in Danville, and they courted until the bugle called. He was inducted into the U.S. Army and sent to Camp Carson, Colorado in October 1942 for basic training.
    Marge and Red were married at Camp Carson on Dec. 30, 1942. He was then sent to France where he proudly served our country during World War II, receiving several medals.

    After the war, Red leased an Exxon service station at Main and Gilbert streets in Danville from 1948-1950. He then worked for Exxon Oil Company for 10 years as a district manager. In 1960, Red and his two business partners built and operated North Gilbert Auto Supply until he sold his share in 1964. He then built and owned a large self-service car wash in Hoopeston, Illinois. In 1968, Red built and operated Mr. Tire Auto Parts Store, west of Danville, until his retirement in 1983.

    Red was a happy-go-lucky guy with a great sense of humor. After his wife and daughter, he loved all sports and particularly the game of golf. Red and Marge traveled extensively and settled in Sarasota in 1989. They spent their winters in Sarasota and summers in beautiful Cody, Wyoming. Red was a past exalted ruler of Danville Elks Lodge 332 and also participated in the Cody, Wyoming Elks Lodge 1516. He was a Mason, attaining the Honorary 33rd Degree, and also served as Thrice Potent Master of the Danville Lodge of Perfection, 1979-80. He was also a Shriner and Jester. Red was a good friend to all. "Thanks for touching our lives and we'll see you in the 19th Hole at Paradise Country Club."

    Red is survived by Marjorie, his wife of 66 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Henry and Sandra Foster of Tampa, Florida and granddaughter, Katherine.

    DANVILLE – Wilma Hotsinpiller, 87, of Danville passed away on Sept. 27, 2008, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville.

    Wilma was born March 31, 1921, a daughter of Russell and Viola Tracie Cline. She married Mason Hotsinpiller in 1940. He preceded her in death in 2006.

    Wilma was a loving and caring mother of sons Denney and Steven Hotsinpiller. Steven preceded her in 1996. She is survived by a son, Denny; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, H.R. "Red" Cline of Sarasota, Fla.

    Wilma was a graduate of Oakwood High School. In her working life, Wilma was a ladies fashion expert and worked at several ladies clothing stores in Danville. Before her eyesight failed, Wilma was an avid and sensitive reader; her favorite work of fiction was Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird. She collected figurine angels and enjoyed flowers and gardening.

    A celebration of Wilma's life will be held at a future time when the extended family can congregate. Per her and her family's wishes, she will be cremated at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.

    Timothy A. Cline, 74 of Seabeck, Wash. died on Sept. 10, 2014 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Wash. He was born in Danville, Ill. to Herman Cline and Merrie (Vancil) Anderson. He grew up in Kitsap County and graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1958. He earned an associate degree from Olympic College and served a ship fitter apprenticeship at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS).
    In August 1961 he married Marietta "Dianne" Baxter. He went on to have a career as a design technician at PSNS, from which he retired in 1995 after 34 years of service. He and Dianne raised their family in Brownsville, Wash.
    In his retirement he enjoyed the home that he and his partner of 21 years, Sue DeSilva, built in Seabeck overlooking Hood Canal. They spent many hours on the beach and next door at Scenic Beach State Park.In addition to his partner Sue, her children and family, survivors include: daughter, Penny Bean and her husband Mark of Shelton; two sons, Troy Cline and Ty Cline of Tacoma; sisters, Merrie O'Meara and her husband Sean of Bellingham, and Diane Griffith of Napa, Calif.; brother, Dan Cline and his wife Misty of Bothell; six grandchildren: Elise, Jared, Brenna, Chloe, Lexah and Claire, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
    Tim's passions were children, animals and the outdoors. In his retirement he enjoyed mentoring children at Seabeck Elementary School. As an avid outdoorsman he was a member of the Bremerton Sportsmen's Club, Kitsap Audubon Society, Kitsap Poggie Club, Northwest Knife Club and Kitsap Humane Society. In recent years he attended Lone Rock Chapel in Seabeck.
    A celebration of life gathering will be held September 19th at the Bremerton Elks Lodge No. 1181 ? 4131 Pine Road, Bremerton, from 1 to 3 p.m. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremerton. Memorial donations can be made to the Kitsap Humane Society, Silverdale, Wash.
