    Mrs. Alexander Dies At Hospital Sunday
    Mrs. Laura Essie Alexander, 71, Mexico, mother of Nelson Alexander of this city, died at 12:05 p.m. Sunday at the Audrain Hospital.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Mexico, where she had church membership. The Rev. George B. Wraith officiated and burial was in the Centralia cemetery.
    The daughter of Charles and Georgia dry Gritton, Mrs. Alexander was born July 8, 1888, in Madison. She was married to Homer Alexander on Christmas Day, 1913. He preceded her in death in 1944.
    Before she moved to Mexico 15 years ago, the Alexanders lived in the Tulip community.
    Survivors include three daughters, Miss Dorothy Alexander and Mrs. Frances Holbert, both of Mexico, Mrs. Norma Davis, Fort Wayne, Ind.; three other sons, Leo Alexander of Mexico, Tommy and Charles Alexander of Independence; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Ball and Mrs. Larry McBride, Centralia; one brothers, T.F. Gritton, Oklahoma City; also 19 grandchildren including Robert Eugene Roberts of the home whom she reared.
    Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
