    Doris Christian Pruitt, 72, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, at her residence.
    Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
    Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Pastor B.F. Risinger Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Crisp Cemetery in Ennis.
    Pallbearers will be Larry Pruitt, Robbie Pruitt, Rowdy Pruitt, Jeremy Pruitt, Mac Venable and Ben Venable.
    Mrs. Pruitt was born March 26, 1933, in Pleasant Hill, Mo., to Rush Christian and Clara Culp Christian. She was an active member of First Baptist Church where she worked in the library, Sunday school and nursery. She was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandson.
    Survivors include her husband, Buster Pruitt of Corsicana; daughters, Cheryl Pruitt Shelton of Corsicana and Gina Pruitt Horn of Kingwood; five grandchildren, Jacob Shelton, Jerod
    Shelton, Zachery Shelton, Allie Horn and Adam Horn; one great-grandson, Garrett Shelton; three brothers and four sisters.

    Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 9, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., Fort Scott, Kan., 66701. Burial will follow at the Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Mo.

    Hurst – Freddy Culp, a retired carpenter, died Friday at a Bedford nursing home. He was 60.
    Funeral will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at First United Methodist Church in Bedford, where he was a charter member since 1956. Burial will be in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.
    Mr. Culp was born in Fort Scott, Kan., and had lived in Hurst for 33 years. He was self-employed in the trailer manufacturing business for 25 years. After retirement he built furniture in his spare time. He was a veteran of the Air Force.
    Survivors: Wife, Lolly [Lilly] Culp of Hurst; son, Greg Culp of Hurst; three brothers, Paul Culp of San Antonio, Harold Culp of Balch Springs and Chris Culp Jr. of Fort Scott, Kan.; Sister, Shirley Mullins of San Jose, Calif.; mother, Edith Culp of Fort Scott; and two grandchildren.
