Born January 7, 1920 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Insco Williams and Charlotte DeVeau Ewing Forbes Rue. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include: her husband, James Hubert Ison, Harrodsburg; three daughters, Cathy Knight, Raleigh, NC, Jean Connatser, Knoxville, TN and Sallie Dawn Phelps, Valencia, CA; three sons, Larry James and Michael Hugh Ison, Harrodsburg and David Nelson Ison, Knoxville, TN; two sisters, Lois Reed, Harrodsburg and Aileen Doehler, Littleton, CO; four brothers, Frank Rue, Ellis Island, FL, Edwin "Skip" Rue, Lexington, Leslie Rue, Harrodsburg, and Clarence Rue, Amarillo, TX; 28 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Four sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services were Monday, April 27, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Danville with President Doyle Holdaway officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery
